AP Classes Filming History

Students edit their assignment.

Jack Bell’s AP US History classes are working on a film project for the PAK “Westward Expansion After the Civil War.” For this group activity, students at each table are tasked with creating a one-to-four-minute video on a topic, picked by Bell, from the PAK. Some examples of the included topics include the Transcontinental Railroads, Homestead Acts, and Indian Boarding House. At the end of the video, they will include the technologies they used and the challenges they faced. After having worked on the project throughout Thanksgiving Break and the week following their return, the project will be due Monday, December 5.
