Kerr Debate Dominates CASE Tournament
Worlds School Team (Abeal Ghebrelul, Joshua Romero, Carlos Estimbo) place second and Policy Team (Al Nahiyan, Naji Yerokun) place first at HUDL City Championships.
March 5, Kerr Debate competed at the HUDL City Championship, where the Worlds School Team won second place and the Policy team won first. Carlos Estimbo, Abeal Ghebrelul, and Joshua Romero were members of the second-place World’s Team and will each receive a $750 scholarship. Al Nahiyan and Naji Yerokun places first in Policy Debate and will each receive a $1,500 scholarship. Kerr debate has been competing at the preliminary CASE tournaments for months and has finally shown out at the City Championships with the HUDL league. In addition to the $750 scholarship, the Worlds School Team has also qualified for the National Speach and Debate Association tournament and will be competing in Kentucky this summer.
