Long Le teaches Social Studies.
Question: What was your first job?
Answer: I worked at Dairy Queen at the front taking orders and making snow cone. I liked it because it was my first job, I was excited to work and make money, and it offered me a sense of responsibility and I met many nice people.
Q: What is the best part about your job?
A: The best part of my job is that I can learn and continue to learn everyday. It helps me to become a better teacher and grow as a person.
Q: What are your hobbies and interests?
A: My number one hobby would be to play basketball. I love playing basketball. I don’t have much time to do it as i would liked. Basketball is my favorite sport. My interests are: I enjoy travelling, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, relaxing, reading, watching tv, cooking and eating the most.
Q: What is your favorite type of music?
A: Houston music/local music from local musicians and mainly from the 90’s. I would consider that down south music. I like DJ Screw, Houston rappers and local artists. I like to support them.
Q: Have you ever thought about a different career? If so what?
A: I have thought about being a lawyer. I think teaching is fun and very rewarding and it’s my passion what I wanted to do. I, also, think that by being a lawyer one day I could have a bigger difference, play a major role in society and be a bigger proponent for change in the world maybe more or so than teaching.
Q: What were childhood dreams?
A:During my childhood I always remember that i wanted to be a race car driver. I always thought it was different and kind of dangerous. I like that it is exciting and I always liked the thrill and the adrenaline and rush of being a race car driver. It is called formula 1 and it is different than what they have here in America, it’s primarily famous around the world and it has a lot of technology. They go around the world and race in very interesting places and that is the reason why I wanted to do it.
Q:What’s your favorite type of food and dish?
A: It so hard to pick one, but if I had to I would choose Indian food. My favorite dish would be a nice little Goat Masala (Goat curry) with some hot non bread. With that I am in heaven.
