JSA to hold meeting on Sept. 8

The Junior Statesman of America will be holding a rush meeting in Room 523, Thursday, September 8, after school.

The Junior Statesman of America is a club about political engagement. The goal is to get students more informed and interested about what’s going in America and all over the world so that they can be active citizens in today’s democracy. The club also takes part in volunteering events by helping out in the community to encourage students to become proactive citizens.

The Junior Statesman of America main objective is to make sure that the American democracy stays healthy for future generations to come

Listen Up: Guest Speaker Namra Hafeez informs MSA students about MIST. She goes over what to expect and how to prepare for the event. “I’m excited to represent Kerr at this year’s tournament,” President Iqra Naveed said.
MSA Hosts MIST Meeting
Strings in Harmony: Senior Tony Luong plays as first chair violin during the winter concert. He is a part of Cambiata Orchestra and they performed the Yuletide Celebration. "Playing the violin requires so much practice but it is always a rewarding experience," Luong said.
Orchestra Presents Winter Concert
Bring Out The Colors: Sophomore Helin Wang and vice president Jenny Nguyen work on poster. They are making advertisement posters for the Game Night that cover concessions and games that will be provided. “I was surprised to see how good all the posters were,” Nguyen said.
