From October 15-26, Kerr will be competing for one of the 100 prizes in the Celebrate MyDrive contest hosted by State Farm.
The top two high schools will win a concert with The Band Perry, $100,000, and free tickets to prom for students graduating years 2015 to 2018. Schools ranked 3 to 10 will win $100,000, and schools ranked 11 to 100 will win $25,000.
Last year, Kerr won $25,000, which was divided between the four grades and also used for safety and education programs. Seniors in 2014 did not have to pay for prom tickets.
To vote, go to the page, Celebrate My Drive, and click on the tab titled “Make a Commitment.” Then, enter a valid e-mail address and birth date, select Kerr as the high school, and answer a two-question quiz on safe driving. Students can vote only once per day, but they can also use a family member’s e-mail if given permission. If any fraudulent activities or tempering with the votes are detected, then the school will be disqualified.
Verification and confirmation of the winning high school will take place October 27 to November 5 and results will be announced on December 9.
