Summer school registration begins

May 14, 2014

Summer school registration for the 2014-2015 year is now open.

To register, go this link: http://goo.gl/rqAo9f

After doing so, visit your counselor to verify enrollment, appropriate paperwork, and payments. Payments and paperwork are due to Ms. Tess by Friday, May 16.

Information for bus transportation can be addressed to the assistant principal, Terri Launhardt, in the AP office.

The cafeteria was cleared out, and the tables were arranged in a “U” shape to create a space for everyone to socialize. “It was a bit difficult setting everything up during fourth period, but we managed to finish in time,” Desi Club president Meerab Arif said.

Alief Hosts Horus Scholars Event
Tracking Volunteer Contributions: Members review their tutoring documentation during the November 13th advisory meeting. The club discussed upcoming competitions, including the Texas Math League and Mu Alpha Theta, while reinforcing the importance of mentoring and volunteer hours. Members are required to log weekly tutoring sessions to maintain active status in the club. “This helps us track our hours and stay committed," Princess Eche said.

Perfecting the Notes: Clarinet players Ifetayo Taiwo and Taylor Nguyen practice ahead of their Honor Band auditions. They dedicated hours of preparation on their clarinet pieces to ensure their performances stood out. “It’s an intense process, but I think it’s worth it to make it,” Taiwo said.
