Teacher of the Year ceremony is this Thursday

April 15, 2013

Alief’s annual Teacher of the Year ceremony will take place at Alief Taylor High School’s auditorium on Thursday, April 18, at 7 PM.

Student Council and Future Business Leaders of America encourage all students to attend to support Kerr’s Teacher of the Year and FBLA sponsor, Doris Curry.

Students who attend will be awarded with points for STUCO.

Listen Up: Guest Speaker Namra Hafeez informs MSA students about MIST. She goes over what to expect and how to prepare for the event. “I’m excited to represent Kerr at this year’s tournament,” President Iqra Naveed said.
MSA Hosts MIST Meeting
Strings in Harmony: Senior Tony Luong plays as first chair violin during the winter concert. He is a part of Cambiata Orchestra and they performed the Yuletide Celebration. "Playing the violin requires so much practice but it is always a rewarding experience," Luong said.
Orchestra Presents Winter Concert
Bring Out The Colors: Sophomore Helin Wang and vice president Jenny Nguyen work on poster. They are making advertisement posters for the Game Night that cover concessions and games that will be provided. “I was surprised to see how good all the posters were,” Nguyen said.
