Volleyball: Argentina wins against Italy

October 25, 2012

Gym hosted a volleyball tournament which took place from September 20 to October 12.

The two final teams were Argentina and Italy.

Argentina won both games against Italy; one took place on October 11 with the concluding score of 15 to 9 and the other game took place on October 12 with the closing score of 15 to 6.

The tournament ended with Argentina as the champion.

Alief Hosts Horus Scholars Event
Tracking Volunteer Contributions: Members review their tutoring documentation during the November 13th advisory meeting. The club discussed upcoming competitions, including the Texas Math League and Mu Alpha Theta, while reinforcing the importance of mentoring and volunteer hours. Members are required to log weekly tutoring sessions to maintain active status in the club. “This helps us track our hours and stay committed," Princess Eche said.

Perfecting the Notes: Clarinet players Ifetayo Taiwo and Taylor Nguyen practice ahead of their Honor Band auditions. They dedicated hours of preparation on their clarinet pieces to ensure their performances stood out. “It’s an intense process, but I think it’s worth it to make it,” Taiwo said.
