Universal Free Breakfast Program starts Monday

The Universal Free Breakfast Program will start Monday, October 22. All students enrolled at Kerr qualify to recieve free breakfast but they must use their IDs.

The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) is implementing the program to increase participation in the School Breakfast Program. According to the USDA, free breakfast will also provide students with a more healthy, nutritious breakfast.

The cafeteria was cleared out, and the tables were arranged in a “U” shape to create a space for everyone to socialize. “It was a bit difficult setting everything up during fourth period, but we managed to finish in time,” Desi Club president Meerab Arif said.

Alief Hosts Horus Scholars Event
Tracking Volunteer Contributions: Members review their tutoring documentation during the November 13th advisory meeting. The club discussed upcoming competitions, including the Texas Math League and Mu Alpha Theta, while reinforcing the importance of mentoring and volunteer hours. Members are required to log weekly tutoring sessions to maintain active status in the club. “This helps us track our hours and stay committed," Princess Eche said.

Perfecting the Notes: Clarinet players Ifetayo Taiwo and Taylor Nguyen practice ahead of their Honor Band auditions. They dedicated hours of preparation on their clarinet pieces to ensure their performances stood out. “It’s an intense process, but I think it’s worth it to make it,” Taiwo said.
