What is something that motivates you to get up in the morning?
Vy Tran (9), Asmau Adanlawo (10), Jiolo Dingayan (12), and Derek Davis (Speech and Debate) talk about some things that motivate them to wake up each and every morning.
Asmau Adanlawo says that her reason for waking up in the morning is, “Being able to do stuff, like being mobile. Knowing that I’m capable of actually achieving something that day.”
Vy Tran says that her reason for waking up in the morning is because, “I wake up every morning to see my friends and my family, because I don’t think I’d be the person I am right now without them supporting me… and not being lonely.”
Derek Davis says that his motivation is, “My kids, success; reaching kids helping them find their talent. Just enjoy coming to work everyday, doing it for twenty-four years or so. They say that if you find something that you’ll love, you’ll never work a day in your life. So, I do that. I drive about forty-five minutes from at North Katy and you kinda just meditate on the day, what we’re going to achieve that day. When you have long days, like today’s a tournament day, you know it’s going to be a long one. But, it’s worth it.”
Jiolo Dingayan shares his simple motivation, “If I don’t get up in the morning, I can’t exempt my finals.”
