Wear pink on Wednesdays for Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast cancer is nothing to mess around with, and that’s why Student Council is raising awareness for this terrible illness. For the whole month of October, STUCO and its members encourage Kerr students to learn about breast cancer and to teach others about it.

STUCO wants to bring attention to the matter so students can be more aware about the illness and take to heart how serious it is. Members plan to wear pink on Wednesdays and encourage others to follow in their footsteps.
“It’s proven that if you know about breast cancer, there is a high chance you can prevent it,” STUCO president My Ha said. “We’re going to wear pink for the whole month of October. Some kids in STUCO have even shaved their heads. We’re also planning to collect money every Wednesday to donate and whoever donates gets a pink ribbon.”
