The fourth annual Alief district film fest and student video awards is scheduled for May 21 from 3:15 to 6:30 in the Taylor theater.
Deadline for entries is May 4. Send all videos to Robert Goetsch at Taylor High School on DVD rom as AVI file format or flash drive as AVI format.
The categories are:
- Best Animation
- Best Demonstration Video
- Best Cypher Video
- Best Stop Motion
- Best PSA
- Best Comedy
- Best News Story
- Best Art photo collage
- Best Digital Media
- Best Music Videos
- Best Staff Video
- Best Sports video
- Best Commercial
- Student Achievement Award (Teachers will nominate their top student)
- Best Parody
- Best movie trailer
- Best Script / Screenplay
- Best Cinematography
- Best Editing
- Best Directing
- Best Special Effects
- Best Performer
- BEST VIDEO
Each video will be scored on the following general requirements: creative multiple camera angles; good, clear, balanced audio; well-lit video; good video composition.

Videos should be no longer than 4 minutes.
