The two days that Alief ISD will use to make up for weather-related closings in January have been changed.
Alief students will now have school on Monday, February 17, and Friday, June 6.
Both dates were originally teacher work days, but they will now be class days for students.
Houston-area schools were closed January 25 and January 28 due to predictions of icy weather. Alief’s two scheduled bad weather make up dates were on traditional holidays — Good Friday, April 18, and Memorial Day, May 26. Those days will remain holidays for students and staff.

Teachers will have an inservice day on either Saturday, June 7, or Monday, June 9, to accommodate the change in schedule.
